Would you use cantilevered stairs in your house?

In the world of interior stairs, there are often trends that dictate the way that this essential structure looks in the home. Whether you go for a more daring design, use stainless steel stair parts or go for that traditional American wood staircase depends both on your personal taste and what styles happen to be in fashion at the time.

Right now, cantilevered staircases - or those that are anchored into the wall on one side but appear to be floating on the other - are among the most popular styles in home design.

This striking aesthetic has become quite popular in many homes, especially in spaces where the homeowner will want to allow the flow of the room to remain natural. If you are considering using a cantilevered structure in your house, there are a few things you should consider.

You should make sure that you have the right railing. Given the ultra-modern feeling of this type of step, many people make use of stainless stair rails, though it's a good idea to use an entire balustrade so that little ones who come to your house do not fall.

Finally, consider if this is a look you really love, or if you're just interested because it's a trend. Changing this type of style is possible, but it would require a significant expense in stair parts. Save yourself the trouble and only put one in your home if you really love it.
