Gain staircase inspiration from the sets of "Modern Family"

ABC's "Modern Family" follows the lives of an extended family all living in the same California town. The sitcom has been a runaway success since its first season, and features some of the best ratings of any show currently running. The blend of comedy and heart makes the show quite appealing, but the unique characterizations of each family unit portrayed help to give it a realistic quality that makes the series all the more watchable.

The contemporary interior of the house that patriarch Jay Pritchett shares with his wife Gloria and her son Manny seems to fit their personalities, as does the classic colonial inhabited by the Dunphys and the sleek one-level apartment lived in by Cameron and Mitchell. The differing architectural styles and decor make sense based on the diverse groups reflected on the show.

But you don't have to be a fan of "Modern Family" to draw inspiration for your own home. You might find that the wall on your main staircase is the perfect place for hanging family photos the way that the Dunphys have in their house, or you may prefer to try out the refined stainless steel balustrade at Jay and Gloria's.

No matter what look you decide to emulate for your family, make sure that you don't replicate the broken step that's a recurring part of the first season of the show. This has never been easier than with Stair Parts USA. We can get you exactly the part you need made from the right materials, and constructed right here in the United States.
