Poplar Balusters worked very well. Easy to cut down for stair case levels and easy to install. A little light sanding, Stain, and Poly and they look great.

I didn’t notice that 31” was fill in the column when I did insert 36” so upon receiving my order I notice I received 31” when I check I’m seeing 31” was in the column I was dissatisfied disappointed so I didn’t know whose fault it was. So a word to the wise, after a customer have place an order or before completing the purchase the system needs to tell the customer to verify the quantity and the length in the order so every body will be happy

Our home was built more than a century ago as a wedding gift, though not for me and my wife. I have met the grandson of the original owner, and his rough housing at his grandparents' home might well have contributed to the need to replace balusters in the railing of the center hall stairs. I purchased 4 hickory Balusters to use as legs for a small table. They came quite quickly considering they were not stocked and had to be manufactured. They were a very high quality product and worked very well for my small table project.
