Colonial 1-3/4" 5315 Structural Rise Pin Top Baluster

I purchased several hundred dollars of stair parts and accessories. The Popular material was very well machined and had good tolerances. I returned some parts that I didn't need and ordered additional parts, It was not seamless, but in the end I got credit fro the returned parts and have the final project ready for stain. My fault but I bought the wrong size, but they do not take returns even though it is standard.

The #5315 balusters are good quality and were delivered primed as ordered. However, my suggestion before you order... Be sure you confirm all measurements. The pin top diameter on the 5315 is not listed in the product description, my bad for not asking. The diameter is 7/8"; other pin tops are 3/4". This may not be a big deal on new construction, however my project involved replacing the balusters and reusing the bannister (that was already in place). The existing holes were drilled for a 3/4" pin top. Bummer... Tom was helpful in reordering #2015 and I ended up with a large (74 balusters) donation to Habitat for Humanity. Lesson... Measure twice and order once.
