American 5" x 55" 4491 Hollow, Plain Box Newel

I had old posts that I was able to cut down and slide the new ones over. It was a perfect fit, more solid and saved a bunch of time.

The box newels that I ordered came very well packaged and I was extremely pleased with the construction and quality of the posts. The only issue I had was one of the corners on one of the newel caps was dented or had a small chunk missing. I debated on whether to return it, but opted to sand it out and conceal it the best I could during my installation. It took my wife a couple of days after install to notice so I don't think most people will see it. All and all, I was very pleased.
