Primed White
Primed White is not a type of wood but a description of many different types of wood. Many woods are suitable for priming white, but the most popular is poplar. Primed White balusters are pre-primed and can be found in varying types of primer. Many imported Primed White balusters are more accuratley described as being painted white since they are painted with a semi-gloss paint. Import primed white balusters are a favorite of track home builders since they only require touch up before installation if you want a white balusters. Due to the nature of the paint on import primed white balusters, it is nearly impossible to paint the balusters a different color. Domestically primed white balusters are usually primed with a latex based primer which can be finish coated to any color.
