Well, the banisters and railings are in and they look wonderful. The carpenter ended up cursing the beautiful wood because it was SO hard it was breaking the drill bits – but hey, that’s the price of quality, right?

I purchased the wrought iron stair parts from StairpartsUSA. My first home was destroyed by hurricane weather and this is the replacement. Your product was a wonderful enhancement. Thank you for the opportunity to share my home, Candance.

Attached are a before and after photo of a beautiful iron and cherry wood railing that my husband installed using iron balusters from StairPartsUSA. We love it. DeAnne
These stairs were rebuilt using the old spindles and hand rail. All we did is change out the older turned newels and install your simple mission style newels. The work and cost was greatly decreased but the effect was dramatic (I think). Technical detail: having the lower "box" of the newel be removable gave us greater flexibility in anchoring the newels to the stairwell. Great posts folks; We will definitely use them again! Here are our before and after pics.
